
At Sindhu Yoga we offer Vinyasa yoga classes.
Vinyasa literally means "to place in a special way" but is more commonly understood to mean "flow". In a Vinyasa yoga class postures or asanas are connected through the breath to create a steady stream of movement. Each movement is initiated and supported by
the breath.
At
Sindhu Yoga our Vinyasa classes are taught in a heated classroom
which promotes a cleansing sweat as well as the potential for deep
release in the body (dubbing the name hot yoga). Within the flow
of our classes we emphasize breathing, safe and intelligent movement,
and spaciousness in the body and mind. Our Vinyasa classes are challenging,
rejuvenating, and balancing. The practice will teach you to untie
the knots in your body, focus your mind, cultivate self understanding,
and to let go. As Swami Vishnu-Devananda said, "Health is wealth.
Peace of mind is happiness. Yoga shows the way."
